Is this the future of search visualized?
GoodMorning! is a Twitter visualization tool which shows about 11,000 tweets collected over a 24 hour period between August 20th and 21st. The tweets were harvested to find people saying 'good morning' in English as well as several other languages. Built in Processing (processing.org) using Twitter4J, and a home-brewed client for MetaCarta's geo-parsing APIs.
Ithaca Model 37
This an Ithaca model 37, 12 ga, 26 inch barrel with a modified choke and hand checkering on the grip. It was probably manufactured in the 50's. I bought it from a private dealer upstate. To me it is a really nice example of gun art.

HD camera with prime lens.
I have been asked for a picture of what I shot the "field recordings" on. Here it is with the articulated arm and ikan hdmi monitor. A Rode video mic is mounted on the other side. Power comes from a variable voltage Tekkeon battery.

Low altitude lunar video in HD
This video was shot by the Japanese (JAXA) KAGUYA probe currently in orbit around the moon from an altitude of about 21 km above the surface. Apparently the lunar satellite will crash into the moon on June 11. Read more about it here.

A film test
I shot these tests with a camera I recently built and strung them together to create this "mood piece". (See below for details.) Double click the image for full screen/HD and let it load a bit before playing.

Here is the camera I shot the above on. It can easily go hand held. Prime lenses and full HD. So far its an HV30 ->brevis 35mm adapter ->nikkor 28mm prime all flipped on a "shrigg rig". I think the next addition will be a small monitor and a follow focus on the rails.

Social networks meet data visualization.
Why doesn't facebook work kind of like this? Or Twitter? Note how the size of the sphere indicates "chatter level" and the position "social visibility". Click the launch link here.
